Ahhhh…. hello my long lost friends! Or should I say, Hola. ¿Cómo estás? Riche and I just got back from our amazing trip to Cancun, Mexico. Our primary goal was to relax, and we did exactly that! We had gorgeous weather the entire trip and couldn’t have asked for a better vacation!
As I was packing for the trip, I started with my famous packing list. Always prepared and I wasn’t even a Girl Scout. Toiletries? Check! Exercise clothes? Check! Passports, boarding passes and travel gear? Check, check and check! Bathing suits? CHECK! Which suits should I pack? Does this size small look good? It does? YAY! Should I really buy this two piece bikini? HECK YEAH! A simple item that would have caused me to get anxious and stressed in the past was actually fun.
To some this might sound boastful or err on the side of bragging but to those who know me well know that this couldn’t be further from the truth! I’ve personally been through quite a journey as I’ve shared a bit in the past with not only my weight loss but my self image and body image. Bathing suits in the past meant exposing so much of what I would normally try to cover up.
Contrary to how this might sound from the first part of my post, this actually has nothing to do with how much weight I’ve lost or what size I’m wearing. It instead has everything to do with finally feeling like I’m in a place where I feel comfortable and happy. Comfortable in my skin. Comfortable in my surroundings. Comfortable in my own body image. Comfortable enough to embrace and totally believe that

Have good thoughts too my friends! Let them shine like sunbeams! Be the lovely, amazing men and women that I know you are!
